jafrako 2013-05-17 09:08:00 Allthough I never found the interface a very friendly thing to use I used Cobian as an application for many years allready beacause it made a simple copy of the chosen files in a same folder structure as as the original. I started the program, chose one or all of my backups and run them. Nu Cobian needed for restore. Just simply pick out the files to restore in Explorer and put them back. Fabulous. Now I've installed version 11 and when I want to start it is allready running in background. Why has gone into these softwaremakers taking over our computers. Now I have to dig in the system tray to find a button to open the interface. There is'nt even a button to close the program. I have to stop it by means of the taskmanager. Better used your energy on making a friendlier and easier to use interface. To my regret I uninstalled Cobian and I'm looking for a better option. Details   Delete   Hide and ban

noname 2013-05-06 02:33:00 I think linux version is difficult even there is Borland Kylix - Linux version of Delphi/VCL and Lazarus - multiplatform free pascal(could import Delphi project) - impossible to simply migrate the file engine code, network code etc. but its possible to migrate user interface, there is rsync tool(builded as Windows .exe binary also) witch only need GOOD USER INTERFACE i think this is main reason why Cobian Backup is such a great tool! Clean, as simple as possible and powerfull :) So there is a chance ;) There is a chance on sell source code to big companies such as HP, Segate, WD etc. i wish it would be done not the linux port ;) Details   Delete   Hide and ban
