I've been using v10 successfully for some time. I downloaded v11 today. When the download completed Norton AntiVirus deleted it, having detected "WS.Reputation.1" and provides this explanation. I figure others will probably get this too, but perhaps not report it to you. Are you able to sort this out please? Otherwise NAV users can't download v11! Thanks.

I am tired of fighting with Symantec. I'm sorry but I've given up that fight.

Can that Reputation feature of NAV be disabled? My solution to NAV brain-deadness was to switch to the free version of Avast! antivirus. Assuming you meet the eligibility requirements (private, non-commercial), that might be an option. For that matter, the paid version of Avast! is not terribly expensive. The have white-listed my site 5 times (last time was in January 2012) because of the installer of version 5 which was wrongly detected as a Troyan. I have resubmitted it 6 times. They white-list it but it automagically comes back every couple of months even if that old installer doesn't change anymore). It seems they get the data from some old database and don't bother to check the white-listed items. Hell, I have even deleted that old installer from the site. It doesn't exist there anymore. Every time you need to resubmit a lot of things for revaluation. It's a lot of work and I really don't care anymore. I am even really thinking about letting this program die.
I have other more important things to think about.

I'm having the same problem. Norton Security Suite keeps deleting the service.
I'm luck I had a backup of v10 and unstalled v11 and went back to v10. It always worked well for me, and I need the automated backup capability.

Just submit the service. With a little luck they will clean it for the next update. And pray it doesn't come back next month.

There were issues with Symantec DAT's at the start of the week. You may want to check this now with the latest definition files.

I will NOT check this out, sorry. I'm tired of this game. If you want to help out, please submit the files yourself.

I have other more important things to think about. I really think you should make some money from this program then. It is a great piece of software and im sure a lot of people would pay for it. (not all people, but screw them leave an older free version for them to use) This way the program wont die and you will get some incentive.
